Depression is one of the most prevalent psychological¬ disease, That Social factors play a major role in the disease. in this work, having a Sociological approach in this field, it has been tried to have a comparative analysis of Depression in Tehran and Gilan provinces, by analyzing 300Persons from Tehran, Rasht, Sowme-Sara, and Lahijan, using Survey Method with a sociological approach. According to Sama Scale, average Depression for sample persons(on 0 to100)was equal to 26.27(is minor depression). In the reported quantities as well as in analyzing effective social factors on depression using Multiple Regression Method, the pure effect of Lack of social relation include Lack of social Support and Social isolation on Depression, were more than other independent variables and following that, Economic Fail or goal achievement, and Moral abnormality include lack of social trust, anomie and insecurity emotion were the variables with the most pure contributions to depression, respectively.
