Abstract

social exclusion is a process through which relationship between individuals and the society in which they live undermined and consequently individual exposed to the economic, social and cultural perils. Since youth activities in social arenas are conditioned on acceptance from other people and social groups, the exclusion can lead to the youth crimes.
this paper examines the impact of some contextual factors on social exclusion and crime and also considers the relationship between social exclusion and crimes.
general method present work is survey and population is girl student of Yazd University. From this population a sample of 100 people by simple random sampling method is selected. Data of this paper is gathered through questionnaire. Raw data are processed by SPSS software and t and F tests as well as correlation coefficient and multi variable regression are considered.
our findings show that location variable (city or village) and marital statue (single or married) have not significant impact on social exclusion but father job and family income have significant impact on social exclusion and crime respectively. Furthermore, the more the feeling of exclusion, the higher the rate of crime. Regression analysis shows that 14.5 percent of dependent variable (crime) is described by the social exclusion.
social acceptance is one of the important needs of youths and deprivation of that can lead to the crime.
